Top Hockey Teams

Here I am talking a little about the top world ranked teams since 2010.

In the 2010 Australia won the World cup in New Delhi, India, They were playing the defending champions Germany and won 2 - 1. This was Australia's second World Cup win. This was Australia's second world cup win since 1986.

In the 2011 Men's Hockey Champions Trophy, Australia came first with a total of 9 points. Spain were second with a total of 6 points. Australia defeated Spain in the final 1-0.

This was Australia's 4th consecutive win and their 12th win in total.

In the 2012 London Summer Olympics which was held in United Kingdom, Germany won the gold medal after defeating the Netherlands 2-1 in the final. Australia took the bronze after beating Great Britain 3-1.

In 2013 Germany won the Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship. The EuroHockey Championship was held in Boom, Belgium. Germany defeated Belgium 3-1 to claim their eighth EuroHockey win.

The Netherlands came third after defeating England 3-2.

In 2014 Australia won the Men's Hockey World Cup. The 2014 World Cup was held in Hague, The Netherlands. Australia beat The Netherlands 6-1in the final after going 1-0 shortly into the first half.

This was Australia's 3rd World Cup win. 

Argentina won 3rd place after defeating England 2-0 to claim their first ever World Cup medal.
